Daisy Alcaraz January 19, 2019 P. Andrews State & Local Government Community Partner w/ effects on the community The community Partner that I wanted to partner up with is Potrero Nuevo Farm. This Non Profit is not just a farm but it also partners with other groups and organizations to help and better the community. They partner with a group called, Abundant Grace Coastside Worker. This other nonprofit then works to help the justice of food go in full circle. This program allows the people that are suffered greatly from homelessness and people that are a part of the low income get jobs. They do not only get a job there but they also get taught about healthy food and how to properly grow your own food. Not only did they give them jobs in farming but also with street clean up, paying them and also beautifying the community and helping the environment. But they do not stop there. PSC 2301-C-01 Patricia Andrews Jan. 13, 2019 State & Local Government ch.1-2 In these chapters we learned a little bit about the three major branches in the United States. The united states is composed of three different branches of a law and order system. Whom all work at the same time and work towards the same goal of making the united states the best it can be. First and foremost, we have the Federal laws who apply to everyone in the united states. These federal laws are then funded by sources such as and not limited to income tax, payroll taxes and some corporate taxes. The federal government then is supposed to make laws that have to do with national security and defense, immigration and even the environment. Alongside the federal we also have the state government. The state then makes laws that apply to the residents of that state and even visitors. In order for the state to be able to do that they like the federal government taxes its people with taxes like property...
